Multiple award-winning gospel rapper Lecrae debuts a brand new song ‘Set Me Free’ featuring YK Osiri in response to the fear brought about the COVID-19 pandemic around the world.

Lecrae came so hard on this own with his rap power, speaking freedom over the stronghold of fear that has thrown the world into chaos and the anxiety and depression that come with it.

The background chorus is a sampled portion of the urban/R&B duo Mary Mary’s ‘Shackles’ single released in 2000. This song has become the signature of the duo that won so many awards and has added a feel of familiarity to Lecrae’s new song.

Lecrae has been very vocal about the pandemic lately, urging people to do away with fear and anxiety, sending message messages of love and hope to all through his social media pages. Recently he used the opportunity of the pandemic to give back to the society by providing free running water hand washing equipment and sanitizers to some streets and conners of his community.
